Online casino bonuses

Ever since online casinos appeared there was a serious competition between them. In the last years the number of online casinos has increased significantly. More online casinos also means more competition. Every one of them is trying to offer something more, something that separates them from the rest. In the desperate battle for every single gambler, casinos had to find something to stand out from the croud. One good way to attract players is to give them bonuses.

Signup bonuses
If you are a new player making your first deposit, chances are high that you will get a signup bonus. These bonuses are calculated as a certain percent from the deposit, but usually there is a maximum set. To avoid fraud, this bonus is only available for cashing out after a certain amount of online gambling. Playing at some games may be even excluded from this requirement, because at this games you can play safely whithout risking too much, and after that cash out the bonus. For example in roulette you can simultanously play on red and black, in this case you always win back what you lose. In the case of blackjack or video poker wich have a low house edge it's also possible to play safe. To give an example for this kind of bonus a casino might ofer new players a bonus of 80 % of the deposit up to 200$; to allow withdrawing the casino might ask you to wager 15 times the full sum given by the deposit and the bonus; also wagering on craps, roulette and baccarat are excluded from the calculation of the wagering requirement. In this example if a player would deposit 200$ he would have 360$ in his account but if he wants to cash out this money, he would have to wager for a total amount of 360$ X 15 = 5400$ untill he could make a withdrawal.

Some bonuses can be yours even whithout a deposit. For example a casino could offer you a no deposit bonus of 10 $, or free spins on one of the games they provide and of course you can keep your winnings, or even a bonus in form of allowing you to play for a predetermined time for a small amount of dollars.

Cashable bonuses
This type of bonus is almost like the signup bonus. The difference is that you can cash out the bonus as soon as you get it, but first you have to complete a wagering requirement just like in the case of signup bonuses. Also like in the case of signup bonuses some games like roulette, baccarat, craps, are excluded from the wagering requirement.

Sticky bonuses
Bonuses that are not cashable are often called sticky bonuses. This bonuses can be used to bet but you can't cash them out.. You can get a 100% sticky bonus for a 100$ deposit but in this case there is also a minimum wagering request, of let's say for example 1000$. When you reached this limit you can use the deposit and the bonus to make your bets, but if you want to cash out the bonus is removed from your balance, and you only get the rest. So if you received a sticky bonus of 100$ you always have to let at least 100$ on your balance, because if the bonus is removed there is no cash on your balance left. This bonus that is removed from your balance after wagering is called phantom bonus. It's not hard to guess where it became it's name from. Other variations of this bonus are also available, where the money you won can be cashed out instantly after you won it.

Cash back bonuses
You can get this bonuses after a loss. You get back a part of your loss as cash, or in other forms. A casino could for example give you a cash back bonus of 20% each week. The players who lost in the course of the week will get 20% of their lost money back. Of course the players who won in this time don't get any bonus, but the won cash shopuld consolidate for this. You won't find this type of bonus very often.
